Arrive by Sea or Air
Located in the Salish Sea, between Vancouver on the mainland and Sidney on Vancouver Island, and just north of the American San Juan Islands, lie the Canadian Gulf Islands and the Penders.
The Gulf Islands are accessible via float planes, private boats and BC Ferries which carry passengers and vehicles. Ferry reservations on the Tsawwassen – Pender route are strongly recommended during the summer season and other peak holiday periods.

Most of the marinas and public docks located on Pender are listed in the marinas section of this site. Reservations may be required during summer months.
Canada Customs is located at Bedwell Harbour and operates between May an September. Visitors arriving by boat or float plane from the U.S. can clear customs at this site. Visit www.cbsa.gc.ca for more information.
On Island transportation
There is no public transportation on Pender Island. However, there is a taxi service. Pender also offers a Car Stop Program where people wait at designated stops for a passing motorist to pick them up.
