The Pender Island Recycling Depot is a thriving hub of community connection and creative sustainability, where you’ll find a myriad of waste diversion initiatives, including a recycle bike shop, a dish-loan program, and a non-program plastics program.

The depot accepts packaging, small and large appliances, electronics, scrap metal, refundables, batteries, smoke detectors, thermostats, lights and bulbs, single use PPE, and much more. Please visit our website for more information.

Every year, the depot processes and diverts approximately 220 tonnes of recyclable materials from the landfill.
